A founder answers

Is it scary to build in public as a founder?

Selina admits documenting the build is "a very humbling experience" and "kind of scary to put yourself out there," especially going from a private Instagram where she knew everyone to posting publicly. But "it's part of the game," it's "good exposure," and "once you get used to it, it's fine."

More from this episode

She sees "a lot of founders right now who are documenting their building process," and says what she's doing with gymii is "a bit of that, not fully" — she jokes that to do it fully she "should have done that six months ago," but "it's never too late." She's been mixing it up with "a day in my life" content, showing herself "as the builder and also a user of gymii." Her reassurance to anyone hesitant: she'd only been posting herself for about a week, and "it does get less and less scary as you go."
