He thinks it's actually quite sad and unfortunate that there isn't more of a community or public thesis by founders that you can be intentional about how you grow your business and predefine the parameters of what would give your life the most joy. Some people just want to make yogurt, some want to make alcohol, some want to grow a business and sell it in a few years — all super fair paths. But the media glamorizes huge-valuation, gigantic companies and billion dollar aspiration, when going down that path is very stressful, takes basically your entire 20s and potentially your 30s, and isn't even guaranteed.
