Being a perfectionist. Vivek's most valuable lesson is "just not being a perfectionist" — they "took too long to launch" chasing a perfect story and a perfect product. On money, "money is everywhere, there's a lot of funding available," so only take it when it can drive growth.

Vivek's number one mistake to avoid: "just not being a perfectionist." Early in the batch "we took too long to launch cause... we're just trying to like craft like a perfect story." The same trap applies to product — chasing a perfect product in front of a customer when "we solved their pain point, that was the key." Even if it meant "hundred hour weeks to get it to [where] they were happy, that's our problem." On capital, "money is everywhere, there's a lot of funding available," and "you should only take money if money can really drive catalyst to growth." Vivek's matching lesson on engineering: he was "spending too much trying to optimize cost," but the takeaway was to "just use like the best thing that's available even if it's expensive, because as long as you're delivering results... more customers should come."
